This product was recommended by my dermetologist. I have been taking it since September and notice a big difference in both my nails and hair for the better.
My nails are strong and hard and my hair is thinning less.

Only nail product I’ve ever used where I saw a difference

When I first started taking Appearex I was 18. I had tried many nail polishes and treatments that supposedly grew out and strengthened weak nails. None of them ever worked, a few Sally Hansen products strengthened and hardened them but they still broke. After trying acrylic nails my nails were horribly weak , ripped up all over the surface and peeling. Not enough people know that it takes 4 months for a nail to replace itself and I was tired of hiding my hands so I got appearex when I found out you no longer needed a perscription to buy it. I could see a difference the first week. All 10 fingernails were long, strong, clear and not peeling or breaking painfully low at the same time! I may have had 2 or 3 healthy nails at once but never all and the nails themselves were clear, no white spots. After I stopped taking it my nails returned to normal of course and now that I’m taking it again it’s taking a little longer to see those results. The box says it takes 3 to 6 months, I got results sooner than that the first time. So my advice is to stop paying money for unhealthy acrylics and start taking appearex and don’t stop(it doesn’t interact w/other medicines you may be taking either).

Biotin works…

I just feel obligated to mention that since this product is essentially just a biotin supplement, you’re basically paying 3x what you should be for a brand name. You can get regular biotin supplements for much cheaper at almost any drugstore, and it works exactly the same.

When I first started using Appearex about 2 years ago, it did wonders for my nails. More recently, it seems to have lost its effectiveness. I will continue to use it for a while to see if that changes. If it doesn’t I’ll discontinue.

So Far So Good

I have been using Appearex for a couple of months now and it does seem to be helping. I have always had weak/bendable nails and made the mistake 2 yrs ago to have the fake “diamond dust” nails put on. My nail bed was too oily so the fake nails did not stay on. Even though the fake nails were only on for 3 weeks the damage was already done. Two years later they were still weaker than they had ever been. But with Appearex they are not only growing but my nails are getting firmer.

Superb nail product!

This is the best product out there! I’m only 5 weeks into my supply and I noticed my stronger nails shortly after starting the product. It’s very convenient and easy to ingest, unlike large vitamins. And this product gives you results unlike nail polish strengtheners that are too much work and maintenance. I have less splitting too which will help me maintain stronger nails.

I always love a product that actually does what it claims to do. Due to age, stress and the usual abuse to which we submit our hands, my nails were in horrible shape. I had tried several products with limited success. With Appearex and some patience, I have experienced a tremendous improvement to the state and strength of my nails.

Problem nails

Anyone with problem nails should try this product. I wore acrylic nails for nearly a year to hide my problem nails. Once the acrylic nails were removed, my own nails were even worse to the point I was so embarassed for anyone to see my hands. A friend of mine told me about Appearex. After taking the pills for a little over 2 months the results are amazing. I recommend Appearex to anyone who has brittle soft nails!!!

prescribed for nails, but big payoff is hair

my podiatrist prescribed appearex to improve my nails. i didn’t notice any change in my nails, but credit appearex with a major improvement in my hair. I was so worried about hair thinning last summer that I contemplated laser hair brushes despite $500 pricetag and tedious regimen (15 mins per day 3 days per week for the rest of your life). this month it finally dawned on me I don’t lose as much hair when i shampoo, and my hair is noticeably thicker and shinier (a stranger asked for my stylist’s name). Truthfully, I also changed 2 other things: shampoo every 3 days (rather than 2) and use Pureology shampoo and conditioner. But given the results I’m sticking with all 3 changes.

Better than gelatin

Here in Reno, its pretty dry; 15% relative humidity is considered high. My wife used this product for 1 month and saw a significant improvement in fingernail growth without cracking.

Yeah so I have been taking this for a month now I dont see a difference yet but I’ll keep taking it to see if anything improves. I will definitely come back and update this if all of a sudden girls tell me oh my god you have such nice nails and hair or whatever. If I dont update this that means I gave up on it.

Appearex better than Biotin

I have been using Appearex for 2 years except for a time when I tried a cheaper version of biotin. After less than 2 months my nails began to curl again. It has taken almost 5 months for them to begin to get better (using Appearex). Appearex may cost a bit more, but for problem nails or hair, it is the best choice. If you don’t notice a difference when you take it, then maybe your nails and hair are not deficient in biotin. For those with long-term problems w/hair or nails, you may want to consider making Appearex part of your normal vitamin intake.

I have been taking Appearex Biotin Tablets for quite some time now and I would have to give it an excellent review. It really is the only supplement that has helped my nails grow long and fairly strong. Finally a product that lives up to it’s claims! I had previously tried other supplements, creams and polishes. You name it, I probably have tried it. My nails aren’t super strong but they are long and not splitting or peeling. It really isn’t that expensive as I get it on the Amazon subscribe and save. You have to give it time to work as it takes months for a complete nail to grow out. It doesn’t seem to have the same effect on the toenails though. Anyway, I am fully satisfied with this product and I highly recommend it.

Works great for hair growth

I have very thin hair. The kind where I have to wash it everyday or it gets gross. I’ve been referred to Appearex by a friend who said that she tried other Biotin brands and nothing seemed to work as well. It was even recommended by her dermatologist, so I tried the 2.5mg 84 ct Appearex and saw that my hair seemed fuller, less stringy and I can even go one day without washing it…if I wanted to. I refered Appearex to a co-worker and she tried it as well. We both have been monitoring our hair and she and I both have new hair shoots sticking up. I’ve tried the Hentry’s Market/ (Mother’s Market)brand with 5 mg of Biotin after I ran out of the Appearex, but that didn’t seem to work as well. My hair wasn’t as full and thick, so I switched back to Appearex. My hair is back to feeling and looking full again.

I have been using Appearex for 6 months now and I couldn’t be happier. The pills are so small and easy to take. My nails no longer have ridges and they have never been stronger. I have tried so many other products and this is the only one that I have seen the results it promises.

I’ve used Biotin 3 years now, and my nails today are the best they’ve been in 20 years. It takes a while to see great improvement, but if you’re patient, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I read all these reviews before I decided upon buying Appearex. I started Oct 1st and it is now 5 months later. I bought the first package (about $25) and after reading “it just takes time”, I knew I was in it for the long run. After that 3 month supply finished, my nails seemed pretty much the same. I thought I needed more time, So I bought another 3 month supply. Now 2 months into that 3 month supply, I still have short nails that arn’t super hair as I expected. I’m still going to finish off my last month, but overall I’m confused why this hasn’t work as well for me.

I have seen minor improvement with the use of this product, but to be fair, it has only been one month and I suspect that it may take longer to gain benefits. I was pleased with the price, my doctor charged $30 for a 30 day supply.

I diligently finished one box and have started a second box and have noticed only minimally improvement in my nails. I probably will not continue taking after I finish this dose. My nails still break and have not grown any faster or thicker as far as I can tell.

I have been using Appearex for at least 3 years….My nail have always been thin, split between the layers and never grew until my husband read the ad in his Pharmacy magazine re: Appearex. I decided to give it a try. It took about 6 weeks for me to notice a definite difference. From then on I had nails to be proud of, in fact sometimes I have to cut them! I missed about 10 days during the holidays as I recall and my nails went back to their old habits…it took several weeks of getting back to my Appearex to get them back to what I have now become used to. I won’t miss taking Appearex each day again you can be assured!! I now order it to be sent automatically from Amazon.com just so I don’t run out!

Any pills of this nature require patience as you have to wait for the new growth from your nailbed. At my dermatologists’s recommendation, I started taking it for better hair health and observed new hair growth within a few weeks. After a few months, I can see an increase in my nail strength. I have always had very weak and flexible nails. They do not bend and split at the sides at the tip of my fingers like they have done all my life. Again, you have to be patient where nails are concerned. It takes a long time for new nail growth to reach the tips of your fingers all the way from the nail bed.

I started using this product under the recommendation of my dermatologist. My nails have always been short, brittle, and grew funny. Like others, I’ve spent years having acrylics, which are extremly damaging, and become irritating (to me, at least) after awhile. Not to mention the cost of getting them done every two weeks so they stay fresh can really add up. Within a couple of weeks, I noticed a major difference. It’s been a month now, and my nails look absolutely great. I simply file them and coat a clear polish on them, and they look perfect! I’ve noticed that my hair texture has become thicker, although I wasn’t taking it for that purpose. It’s WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

Good price, good results

My nails have always been ridged, weak and brittle. They practically melt in water (and I swim daily). I noticed an improvement to my cuticles and nails within weeks. Three months later, they look great. The hangnails and chewed look is gone. I keep my nails short by choice, but they are much stronger and look professional and neat. I’m very pleased with this product.
The $17.27 for a 3 month supply is the best price I found for 2.5 mg (2500 mcg). I noticed a `buy one get one free’ sale this past week at Walgreen’s, but the starting price for the Appearex was $25 for a one month supply. Not good. Other biotin products I’ve seen are not the 2.5 mg daily requirement for nail improvement (mostly $5-$10 for 500 or 1000) mcg, so once you multiply to get the daily requirement, they cost much more as well.
There’s a bonus to the biotin. In addition to the nail-skin-hair improvements, it also seems to boost metabolism. I’ve been more energetic and sleeping more soundly at night. ~$6 a month is a good deal and this is a reliable and conveniently packaged product. I’ll be buying a year’s supply next time.

I have only been taking this for about three weeks now. My nails were pretty weak and I could almost bend a couple of them. I have noticed a good improvemenet already in my nails so I can’t wait to see after a couple of months. I would definitely recommend anyone with weak nails to give it a try. Also my mother in laws hairdresser recommened it for a thicker texture of her clients hair….

Although Appearex has not made them the long, hard, lovely nails I’ve always dreamed of, they are much more stable, less likely to peel and the horizontal ridges have all but disappeared. BTW, my hair is also better.

I’ve always had trouble growing long strong nails(I’m 60). I tried the acrylic ones for awhile and enjoyed having nice looking nails but soon the time and the cost got to be more than I wanted to mess with anymore. I’ve been taking the Appearex for 1 month now and my nails are nicer looking than they have ever been!!! I had recently discovered Revlon’s Color Stay nail color and had some length already but I still notice an improvement in the strength and appearence of my nails. I like the convienence of a daily pill….I take it with my daily meds….and have not noted any side effects. Where has this product been all my life?!?!?!

I have been an Appearex user for a number of years and highly recommend it. Before using Appearex, my nails were thin and always breaking or peeling. Now I rarely have a broken nail and taking one small pill a day is an easy way to have great nails.

I used this product daily for 2 months and it did not strengthen or lenghten my nails. It did not deliver as promised. Will go back to using the Sally Hansen “paint on” nail strengthener.

I was introduced to this product by a friend who said it works. My nails use to be thin, break off in layers, and I could not grow them. After trying the product, I can say it does strenghten the nails and makes them healthier, but it will take about a month — or more — before you see any improvement. It’s expensive, but shop around. I have not compared it’s effectiveness to the biotin vitamin supplement, but the vitamin supplements seem to be a much larger tablet for the same dose or you may have to take several tablets to equal their dose. If your budget can afford it, I recommend the product.

My dermatologist told me to take Appearex when my hair started falling out while I was on Accutane for a rare skin rash. It takes a month or two to work, but my hair is so much better I have continued to take biotin even though I’ve been off the other drug for a year. My skin hair and nails are much better than ever before.
